Over 450 rural families in provincial tea estate districts gathered this weekend as HopeCare’s mobile clinical unit conducted a comprehensive free health screening and oncology detection camp.
Equipped with digital ultrasound units, certified nurses, and oncologists, the team carried out clinical breast examinations, oral cancer visual inspections, cervical smear tests, and general vitals checks.
Eight individuals with suspicious lumps and pre-cancerous lesions were successfully identified and immediately enrolled into HopeCare’s fast-track diagnostic and treatment subsidy program.
Local community leaders commended the initiative, highlighting that the nearest oncology hospital previously required more than four hours of grueling travel each way.
